Contribution Policy

Effective October 3, 2026

Thank you for supporting Desaepa Vansauwa for Mayor. Campaign contributions are governed by law, so please read these terms before you give.

Not tax-deductible

Contributions to Desaepa Vansauwa for Mayor are political contributions and are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal or state income tax purposes.

By contributing, you confirm that

  • you are a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (green card holder);
  • the contribution is made from your own personal funds, and not from the funds of another person;
  • no one is reimbursing you, or will reimburse you, for this contribution;
  • the contribution is not made from the funds of a corporation or other entity that Kentucky law prohibits from contributing to candidates; and
  • your total contributions to the campaign are within the limits set by Kentucky law.

Information we are required to collect

Kentucky campaign finance law requires the campaign to keep records of contributors and, depending on the amount, to collect and report information such as your name, address, occupation and employer. Reports filed with the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance are public records, so this information may become publicly available.

How donations are processed

Online donations are processed by Zeffy through the form on our Donate page. Your card details go directly to Zeffy and never pass through this site. Zeffy may invite you to add an optional contribution to Zeffy itself; that amount goes to Zeffy, not to the campaign, and you can change it before you pay.

If the form offers recurring donations, you can cancel at any time using the link in your Zeffy receipt, or by contacting us.

Refunds

The campaign will refund any contribution that it cannot lawfully accept, including any amount over the legal limit. If you believe a contribution was made in error, contact us through Leave a Comment and we will work with you, and with Zeffy where needed, to resolve it.
